Domestic Energy Performance Certificate

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are needed whenever a property is built, sold or rented.  For the sale and rental of existing dwellings, and EPC can only be produced by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor.  The EPC will provide information about a property's energy usage and typical energy costs as well as offering some recommendations about how you could reduce energy use and save money.

The EPC gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and is valid for 10 years.

As of 1 April 2018 there is a requirement for any properties rented out in the private rented sector to have a minimum energy performance rating of E on an EPC.  These regulations came into force initially for new lets or rentals and was extended to cover existing tenancies on 1 April 2020.

UK Energy Assessors directly offer a domestic EPC service in Derby and surrounding area.  Our network of accredited associates offer this service nationwide.  We are typically able to provide appointments within 48 hours on an enquiry, with the EPC available 24 hours following the appointment.  It typically takes around 60 minutes to complete the EPC assessment, which requires a visit to the property by one of our accredited professionals.

If you have a property that requires an EPC, contact us using the enquiry form opposite, and one of our team will follow up with you to provide a firm quotation and details of available appointment times.  If you are working on a new build development, you will need a SAP calculation and EPC.  Visit our SAP Calculations page for more details.
